Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal through its nodal agency Webel, has created Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) in Naihati on 70 acre of land, as per the notification issued by Govt. of India on Electronic Manufacturing Clusters Scheme to provide word-class infrastructure for attracting investments and to boost domestic manufacturing in the Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.
